Our Clear View® Caps fit MT Challenger Track Tractors and Fendt Track Tractors. They assist you by giving operators the ability to view and maintain proper oil levels of the idler and roller hubs. Clarity of oil, as well as sufficient oil, can help prevent the replacement and downtime of your equipment due to idler and roller repair.

Installation instructions:

MT Challenger Kits-

• Remove OEM cap retaining the washers, discard old bolts.
• Allow oil to completely drain.
• Remove any old gasket material from face of roller and idler hubs.
• Using the enclosed replacement bolts & your OEM washers, place the Kile® Clear View® Caps, with gaskets, to the hub
• Tighten bolts to 35-40 inch pounds.
• Replace oil to manufacture specifications.
• Tighten plug with plug wrench. Use only soap and water to clean caps, no solvents (solvents can cause clouding and premature failure of caps. Solvent use will void warranty)

Installation instructions:

Challenger Kits-

K CVC CH543 Kit (35/45/55)

• Remove OEM cap.
• Allow oil to completely drain.
• Remove any old gasket material from face of roller and idler hubs.
• Bolt the Kile® Clear View® caps, with gaskets, to the hub and tighten roller and idler bolts to 35-40 inch pounds.
• Replace oil to manufacture specifications.
• Install plug and tighten with plug wrench.Use only soap and water to clean caps, no solvents (solvents can cause clouding and premature failure of caps. Solvent use will void warranty)
• Do not over tighten mounting bolts. Over tightening voids warranty.

K CVC CH987 Kit

 

 

K CVC CH987 Kit (A, B, C, D, E-65, 75, 85, 95)

Roller Cap Installation:

• Remove OEM cap.
• Allow oil to completely drain.
• Remove any old gasket material from face of roller hubs.
• Bolt the Kile® Clear View® caps, with gaskets, to the hub and tighten bolts to 35-40 inch pounds.
• Replace oil to manufacture specifications.
• Install plug and tighten with plug wrench.

Idler Cap Installations: (for OEM Hub Caps) :

1. Remove the idler cap from hub.

2. Remove OEM site glass from cap by placing the cap.

3. Place the steel cap face up, center part #KCH3455-R over hole. Mark the cap holes & drill 5/32" holes.

4. Insert the pan head screw in drilled hole, turning them in half way to set the threads.

5. Place a roller gasket and cap on cap then fasten with two screws opposite each other. Take a dab of silicone and fill the other six locations and install screws.

6. Remove the other two screws, place a dab of silicone in each hole and replace. (This will prevent oil from leaking through screw holes). Torque all screws to 35 inch pounds.

7. Install idler cap, with appropriate idler gasket. Torque to 35-40 inch pounds.

8. Replace oil to manufacture specifications.

9. Install plug and tighten with plug wrench.

Caps for Lexion or Claas Track Combines

 

NOTE: Our kits fit Lexion 700 series (Gen 3 Lexion) with 105mm rollers. Earlier track systems (500 series) have 80mm roller caps. The idler caps will fit either series and can be ordered separately from a kit for customers with the earlier track systems.

Clarity of oil, as well as sufficient oil, can help prevent the replacement and downtime of your equipment due to idler or roller repair.

Installation instructions:

Lexion or Claas Track Combine Kit: K CVC LC Kit

Idler Cap:

• Remove OEM cap retaining the washers, discard old bolts.
• Allow oil to completely drain.
• Remove any old gasket material from face of roller and idler hubs.
• Using the enclosed replacement bolts & your OEM washers, place the Kile® Clear View® Caps, with gaskets, to the hub
• Tighten bolts to 35-40 inch pounds.
• Replace oil to manufacture specifications.
• Tighten plug with plug wrench.

Roller Cap:

• Remove OEM.
• Allow oil to completely drain.
• Check o-ring in hub and replace with new O-ring if necessary.
• Install Kile® Clear View® cap (K 0784-CL)
• Tighten cap with 65mm socket to 37 foot pounds (444 inch pounds).
• Replace oil to manufacture specifications.
