Our Clear ViewTM Caps fit Case IH STX  and 9300 Series Quad Trac Tractors. Also available for CIH trac combines (Combine trac system CTS/OR)-see parts page for prices. They assist you by giving operators the ability to view and maintain proper oil levels of the idler and roller wheels. Clarity of oil, as well as sufficient oil, can help prevent the replacement and downtime of your equipment due to idler and roller repair.

Installation instructions:

STX/OR: Kit contains 16 idler & 24 roller caps, 40 plugs + o-rings for idlers & caps. See parts page for prices

For Tractor Models: STX 375, 425, 440,450, 500 Steiger 380, 430, 480, 530, 400, 450, 500, 550, 600, 385, 435, 485, & 535

  • Remove original Case IH cap and allow oil to completely drain.
  • Remove o-ring
  • Clean o-ring, housing & snap ring grove.
  • Lightly oil o-ring before installing, install Kile® Clear ViewTM Cap and secure snap ring.
  • Replace lubricant in hub to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Install plug. Tighten with plug wrench.

Use only soap and water to clean caps, no solvents (solvents can cause clouding and premature failure of caps. Solvent use will void warranty)

CTS/OR: Kit contains 8 idler & 12 roller caps, 20 plugs + o-rings for idlers & caps. See parts page for prices.

For Combine Models: 7010, 7120, 8010, 9120, 7230, 8230, & 9230

  • Remove original Case IH cap and allow oil to completely drain.
  • Remove o-ring
  • Clean o-ring, housing & snap ring grove.
  • Lightly oil o-ring before installing, install Kile® Clear ViewTM Cap and secure snap ring.
  • Replace lubricant in hub to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Install plug. Tighten with plug wrench.

For Tractor Models: 9370, 9380 & 9390

Idler:

  • Remove OEM cap and allow to completely drain. To get a complete drain, the hub plug needs to be down to allow a complete drain of hub cavity. 
  • Clean the face of hub, removing any cork gasket that may be stuck to it.
  • Install K-9343-IGE(gasket) and cap to hub.
  • Secure with washers (K5161 flat washer) and bolts.
  • Torque bolts around evenly, then again to 40-45 inch pounds.   
  • Fill cavity with manufactures recommended oil. Hub idler oil capacity is 14 ounces. Reinstall plug.      

Roller:  

  • Remove OEM cap and allow to completely drain.
  • Place part #K-237-R OR (o-ring) into o-ring groove on part #K9340-R (roller cap).
  • Apply a small amount of oil to o-ring and insert into roller.
  • Put washers on bolts; additional bolts are provided in the kit to allow for 6 bolt installation. (Part #K-820-HHCS)
  • Torque bolts to 85inch pounds.
  • Fill roller cavity with OEM recommended oil. Roller oil capacity is 10 ounces.
  • Install K-1215-P (plug).
  • Tighten with plug wrench.
