Our Clear View Caps fit John Deere 8000 T, 9000 T, and the 9800 Series (8295RT, 8320RT, 8345RT, 9430, 9530, 9630) T Tractors. Installation instructions:
John Deere 8000 T Series
Remove OEM cap. Allow oil to completely drain. Remove any old gasket aterial from face of roller and idler hubs. Bolt the clear view caps, with gaskets, to the hub and tighten bolts to 55-60 inch pounds. Replace oil to manufacture specifications. Hand tighten plug.Do not overtighten. Overtightening voids warranty.
John Deere 9000 T Series
Mid-Roller Cap Installation:Remove OEM cap and allow oil to completely drain. Remove o-ring, clean, inspect and replace if damaged. Clean o-ring housing, lightly oil o-ring before installing, install clear cap and secure with OEM bolts (torque bolts to 150-160 inch lbs). Replace lubricant in hub to manufacturer's specifications. Place o-ring on plug (K 1215-P) and install. Hand tighten only. (Mid roller cap o-rings are dealer items).
Idler Cap Installation:Remove OEM Cap and allow oil to completely drain. Clean threads and o-ring groove. Place o-ring (K JD159-IOR) on Clear View Capmaking sure it is seated to the flange of the cap. Lightly oil the threads and o-ring. When installing onto the hub, make sure the cap is being turnd on straight and not cross threaded. When the o-ring starts to contact the hub watch that the o-ring does not disengage or 'pooch out'l if this begins to happen, back off the cap, readjust the o-ring, re-lubricate the o-ring and threads and install as stated above. When the flange contacts the hub the cap is installed. Replace lubricant in hub to manufacturer's specifications. Place o-ring on plug (K 1215-P) and install. Hand tighten only.
Note:After all hubs have been filled, be sure all cap o-rings have sealed.
