Our Clear View Caps fit MT Challenger Track Tractors. They assist you by giving operators the ability to view and maintain proper oil levels of the idler and roller wheels. Clarity of oil, as well as sufficient oil, can help prevent the replacement and downtime of your equipment due to idler and roller repair.

Installation instructions:

MT Challenger Kits- K CVC MT800 & K CVC MT700:

Remove OEM cap. Allow oil to completely drain. Remove any old gasket material from face of roller and idler hubs.  Bolt the clear view caps, with gaskets, to the hub and tighten bolts to 35-40 inch pounds. To replace oil to manufacture specifications. Hand tighten plug.Use only soap and water toclean caps, no solvents (solvents can cause clouding and premature failure of caps. Solvent use will void warranty)

Installation instructions:

Challenger Kits-

K CVC CH543 Kit (35/45/55)

Remove OEM cap. Allow oil to completely drain. Remove any old gasket material from face of roller and idler hubs. Bolt the clear view caps, with gaskets, to the hub and tighten roller bolts to 35-40 inch pounds and idler bolts to 35-40 inch pounds. Replace oil to manufacture specifications. Install o-ring on plug and hand tighten.Use only soap and water to clean caps, no solvents (solvents can cause clouding and premature failure of caps. Solvent use will void warrantee) Do not over tighten. Over tightening voids warranty.

K CVC CH987 Kit (A, B, C, D, E-65, 75, 85, 95)

Roller Cap Installation: Remove OEM cap. Allow oil to completely drain.Remove any old gasket material from face of roller hubs. Bolt the clear view caps, with gaskets, to the hub and thighten bolts to 35-40 inch pounds. Replace oil to manufacture specifications. Install o-ring on plug and hand tighten.

Idler Cap Installations: (for OEM Hub Caps) :

1. Remove the idler cap from hub.

2. Remove OEM site glass from cap by placing the cap face down and punch the plastic from the inside out.

3. Place the steel cap face up, center part #KCH3455-R over hole. Mark the cap holes & drill 5/32" holes.

4. Insert the pan head screw in each hole, turning them in half way to set the threads.

5. Place a roller gasket and cap on cap then fasten with two screws opposite each other. Take a dab of silicone and fill the other six locations and install screws.

6. Remove the original two screws, place a dab of silicone in each hole and replace those screws. (This will prevent oil from leaking through screw holes). Torque all screws to 35 inch pounds.

7. Install idler cap, with appropriate idler gasket. Torque to 35-40 inch pounds.

8. Replace oil to manufacture specifications.

9. Install o-ring on plug and hand tighten.
